Help people to use our tools

We believe our tools like ERPNext can help organizations reduce waste and complexity. Frappe + ERPNext has the potential to be a “full stack” replacement for not only ERP (SAP/Oracle) but also the entire enterprise stack (Java/.NET). With this scope, we should help organizations by providing products and services to help them manage their technology platforms.

Why ERPNext over SAP B1 / Oracle

100% FOSS

Customizable

Future-ready

Challenges

Before ERPNext, Fabriclore relied on six different software systems, including Vinculum for warehouse management, Shopify for the website, Pabbly, Refrens for quotations, Tally for accounting, and numerous Google Sheets for reporting.

Information was scattered across platforms, making it difficult to maintain a single source of truth. The company evaluated several enterprise solutions, including SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, and Zoho.

While some platforms met individual requirements, they either lacked the flexibility required for Fabriclore's business model or involved licensing and operating costs that did not align with the company's long-term vision.

The team spent nearly six months evaluating different ERP platforms before selecting ERPNext because it provided the flexibility to support highly customized textile sourcing workflows while remaining scalable for future growth.

Benefits

ERPNext replaced six independent business applications with a single integrated platform.

  • Sales enquiries, quotations, procurement, inventory, finance, production, reporting, and project management are now managed within ERPNext.
  • The company also decided to migrate its website content management to the Frappe Framework, allowing both business operations and website management to run on the same technology stack.
  • Several custom workflows were developed specifically for Fabriclore's textile sourcing operations, including: Fabric inventory management for continuous-length inventory. Intelligent allocation of fabric rolls and cut pieces.
  • Production and subcontracting workflows.
  • B2B sales lifecycle management. Integration between website enquiries and ERP operations.
  • Advanced reporting and dashboards.
  • Semantic search capabilities for textile products. Business-specific workflows supporting sourcing, processing, and customer fulfilment.
  • The flexibility of the Frappe Framework allowed Fabriclore to implement processes that were not available out of the box, enabling the platform to evolve alongside the business.

Impact

Successful on-time ERPNext go-live

Increased sales order to cash

Increased inventory turnover

  • Consolidated six separate software systems into a single ERP platform.
  • Eliminated duplicate data entry across departments.
  • Centralized CRM, Inventory, Accounting, Website CMS, Procurement, Production, and Reporting.
  • Digitized complex textile sourcing workflows involving inventory, subcontracting, and production.
  • Reduced dependency on spreadsheets for operational reporting.
  • Built a scalable platform supporting Fabriclore's transition from a B2C business to a global B2B textile sourcing company.
  • Established a digital foundation capable of supporting AI-powered semantic product search and future business expansion.
We evaluated ERP solutions for almost six months. When we discovered ERPNext, we realized it could handle every challenge we threw at it. Today, we've consolidated six different software systems into one platform, and even our website CMS is moved to the Frappe ecosystem.
